Meet Mikayla Coleman: BSMWC’s Newest Intern

Bellflower, CA– Bellflower-Somerset Mutual Water company is thrilled to welcome Mikayla Coleman as an intern.

Mikayla comes to BSMWC with an extensive background in Public Relations and customer service as well as family ties to the water world. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Riverside City College in 2018 before starting at BSMWC in August of 2019. She has previously interned for CV Strategies, which specializes in public agency messaging across all of California. While there, Mikayla managed social media and events coordination for numerous Water Utility companies. Mikayla brings not only these skills, but also an upbeat and optimistic attitude to BSMWC. 

“I am so excited to be working at BSMWC,” Mikayla said. “My entire life my dad and numerous other family members have made wonderful careers out of the water industry and I intend on doing the same. I am already enjoying my time here at BSMWC and I look forward to the many positive and impactful changes we are making here for our shareholders.” 

She has joined the BSMWC team to help implement and grow the public outreach department and launch a new education program in 2020.
